11/18/06: Message to family and friends from David
My dear family and friends,
I am doing quite well. Thank you for your concern. I've got no pain and no aches. I'm feeling fine. I thank you for your concern and your prayers. They implanted a stent in one of my heart arties which was between two grafts from my 1980 bypass surgery. In the angioplasty procedure, they put a ballon in my artery and expanded it to the pressure of 10 atmospheres, and then put in the stent. The stent pushes the artery, and the muscle on the outside of the artery grows stronger.
I don't mind all of the interruptions for pills and to take vital signs. But, they poke me all over for blood tests.
At 3:00 PM today, I have a MUGA scan to ascertain whether it is a good implant. It is doing good hopefully.
My wife, children, grandchilden, stepson, and nephew are all here to give me support. My brothers and sister and nephew came to visit in Reno.
Love you all, and hope to see each one of you some time soon.
David
